Support

Get the workflow working.

Support covers software setup, license activation, fabrication workflow questions, and product fit before you commit to a machine.

ADS installation

Platform-specific setup notes.

Windows

ADS has two Windows versions. If the primary version does not start on your system, use the alternate installer. Run the installer, then launch ADS from the desktop icon or Start menu.

macOS

ADS runs on recent macOS versions on Apple Silicon hardware. Extract the application, open Terminal in the application folder, and run:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ArmaDesignStudio.app

After that, launch the application normally.

Linux

ADS runs on most x64 Linux distributions. Extract the archive, open a terminal in the application folder, and run:

./ArmaDesignStudio

Hardware and input

Supported operating systems include Windows, macOS, and Linux. A 3DConnexion SpaceMouse Compact with USB cable has partial support. Contact ARMA when you need to confirm a specific workstation or machine-control setup.

License activation

Activate the features you purchased.

  1. Purchase the appropriate ADS license tier.
  2. Check the email address used at checkout for your license key.
  3. Open ADS and choose File → Account.
  4. Enter the same email address used for payment.
  5. Enter the license key received by email.

License keys are tied to the email address used for payment, so keep that address and key available when moving to a new installation.

Need help activating?

Include your operating system, ADS version, purchase email, and the step where activation stops.
